Course Title
9.3 Modelling the project
Scope
- PRINCE2 uses the Product Breakdown Structure that is a scope tree of the project (e.g. systems and subsystems of a software application)
- PMBok uses the Work Breakdown Structure that is an extended PBS scope tree: it contains all deliverables (not just systems and subsystems but the required manual and training materials, service descriptions, etc. as well)
- Agile expresses the scope in terms of features, epics and user stories
Time
- PRINCE2 uses milestones, stages, work packages and tasks with deadlines
- PMBok uses milestones
- Agile uses short iterations (sprints in Scrum)
- Lean uses (very) short iterations (e.g. through Kanban)
