CSCS - The Eighth Conference of PhD Students in Computer Science

Topics of interest
All aspects of computer science and related fields, including theory and
applications, e.g. algorithms and data structures, artificial intelligence, automata theory,
complexity theory, databases, fuzzy theory, image processing, optimization, and software
engineering.
CSCS will provide a forum for the
- presentation of the latest research and developments in theory, algorithms,
and applications of computer science,
- reporting of interesting case studies in industrial and scientific
applications of computer science,
- demonstration of software for computer science.
Format
- A few plenary sessions for invited talks (50 minutes).
- Sessions for contributions (20 minutes).
Submissions
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (in English, about one
large page) electronically to cscs@inf.u-szeged.hu.
Publications
- A volume of extended abstracts - available at the beginning of the
conference. Each abstract will be reviewed before the acceptance.
- Selected papers will be published in special issues of
Acta Cybernetica and
Infocommunications Journal.

Conference venue
Szeged, 160 km South-East from Budapest. The conference will be organized
by the University of Szeged, Institute of Informatics.
Entry
A visa to Hungary is not necessary for citizens of most countries, however
please check with your travel office.
Participation fee
The conference participation fee (including the organization costs,
accommodation from to , full board, and the proceedings)
is 35,000 HUF to be payed on site during the registration.
Support
The financial support will be used mainly to cover the
local costs of a few persons who otherwise cannot afford it. Please send an
application for such a support together with your preliminary registration
if you otherwise could not participate.
