Bursaries

We will provide bursaries for a certain number of students. The bursaries will cover registration and a percentage of the accomodation costs in a double room for the duration of the summer school (9 nights). In other words, they have a value between EUR 50 and EUR 212 (the amount depends on an evaluation of your bursary application form).

Eligibility

Bursaries are only open to students currently enrolled in a PhD or Masters degree (including a research component). The student must provide evidence of registration. Preference may be given to applicants from the new EU-member states. The OCG has also sponsored some bursaries for people currently living in Austria.

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria used to assess applicants are:

  • relevance of the summer school to the student's research.
  • demonstrating the need for a bursary.
  • a brief statement listing your reasons for undertaking the intended summerschool.

Note that even if you are awarded a bursary, you are still requested to pay the registration fee and accommodation fee by the deadline on May 23rd 2008. The bursary will then be paid to you on the first day of the summer school.

How to Apply

Applicants for bursaries should fill in the form (available in word or pdf format) and send it to ssip@prip.tuwien.ac.at. Note that E-mail submission is preferred. Alternatively, postal submission is possible. However, the letter must arrive before the bursary deadline. Send it to:
