Abstract:
Image
registration is an important problem of image analysis with
applications in many different areas including medical imaging. In
this presentation, we present the main problems and basic approaches
to image registration with the emphasis on medical applications. An
overview is provided of geometric transformations, image similarity
measures, and some of the most popular approaches to point-based
registration and intensity-based registration.
