Going to Szeged
Szeged has a central location not only in Europe, but also within the
country. Budapest is just two hours and fifteen minutes of trainride from
here. In order to get to Szeged from Budapest, the visitor must reach the
West Station (Nyugati Pályaudvar/Nyugati Pu.), from where trains
leave for Szeged in every two hours. In Budapest metro lines provide the
best way of public transportation.
Coming from the airport
Take a red numbered bus #93 (red number
means fast service) which stops at both terminals (Ferihegy I & II). The
endstop of this bus line coincides with the end station of Metro #3 (Blue
line) which directly goes to Nyugati Pu. (It takes approximately 40
minutes.)
Coming from the Keleti Pu.
Take Metro-2 (red line) to Deák
tér and change to Metro-1 (blue line) to Nyugati Pu. (This ride is
approximately 15 minutes.)
- Bus and metro ticket both are 35 HUF per each.
- The penalty is 800? HUF if you ignore to show the valid ticket for whole journey on bus and metro.
